She was born to Elisabeth Prince on January 8th, 1958. 

Her father, Edgar Prince, was an American engineer and businessman who founded the prince corporation, which is now owned by Johnson's control. 

He was a billionaire industrialist of Dutch ancestry. She was brought up in Holland, Michigan. 

She has four siblings, among whom she is the eldest one. Her younger brother Erick is the founder of Blackwater USA.
